Ginger – why start the day with it?

In other cases, we eat the same thing – a greasy patty from the diner, a waffle, or whatever fruit we have left at home.

Ginger is the food that will certainly diversify any breakfast – it will both give us strength for the long working day and supply us with useful trace elements. Despite its specific taste, a little of the root won’t hurt anyone in the morning. On the contrary, it has many useful properties. It is rich in vitamins A, C, E, and B, as well as minerals such as magnesium, iron, potassium, phosphorus, zinc, sodium, beta-carotene, and others.

Here are some ways to take ginger for breakfast:

Replace the coffee with ginger or add some root tea to it. It is a strong antioxidant, fighting free radicals in the body. It is believed to have the properties of a caffeinated drink, so it is mostly drunk in the morning, but never in the evening, because there is a risk of not being able to fall asleep.

Ginger tea is a popular drink that warms up on cold days, and as it turns out, spring is delayed for a while. One glass of spicy tea is quite enough to warm us (especially the throat), relieve nausea (especially in pregnant women), as well as various stomach ailments. Also, taking this tea (on an empty stomach, early in the morning) helps in the fight against weight, because the root also has the property of melting fat.

Sometimes we like to make it fresh for breakfast. And why not add some ginger to it? Thus, we will speed up the morning metabolism and cleanse the body of bacteria and toxins accumulated in it the previous days.

The other thing we can try in the morning is a few spoons of grated ginger, mixed with the juice and pulp of one lemon, with a little honey to taste. We can keep the mixture in a jar and eat a little each day.

Using ginger for breakfast and during other meals can be very beneficial for our health, as long as we do not overdo it and do not exceed the daily dose of 4 grams.
