Corn is the leader in the content of B vitamins, in particular thiamin and niacin, which are so valuable for the body. They are particularly important in the fight against dementia, so doctors recommend that people over 35 eat corn regularly for better memory.

Corn also contains vitamin C and vitamin E, which are powerful antioxidants that fight aging and various diseases. In combination with valuable B vitamins, they make our skin healthier and more radiant. In addition to vitamins, delicious corn also contains a large number of valuable minerals for our bodies. It is rich in magnesium, manganese, zinc, iron, copper, and selenium, which is extremely important for the functioning of the thyroid gland – the “depot” that distributes hormones in the human body.

Thanks to the fiber, vitamins, and minerals in its content, doctors recommend corn as the ideal food for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. In addition, nutritionists believe that corn contributes to the preservation and improvement of vision in elderly people.

The first milk corn has already ripened in the field and right now is the time to buy them to load the body with a bunch of useful vitamins and minerals. However, how to choose corn that is really useful for the body? Just by looks?

First of all – the leaves of the cob should not be yellowed, and the grains should be shiny and dense. However, for corn to be tasty and useful, it is also very important how it is grown.
